 Abstract: "Distributed Computing in Java"

 =========================================
   Java, with its notion of a virtual machine and the ability to safely
   move code around a network, offers a fundamental change in the rules
   that have governed distributed computing over the past 20
   years. This talk will discuss some of the ways these changes have
   effected existing Java components (such as the Remote Method
   Invocation system) and will make some wild speculations about how
   they could effect distributed computing components in the future.

   original designers of what has become the Common Object Request
   Broker Architecture (CORBA)
